Who should file Form 8233?

   Nonresident aliens receiving employee or non-employee compensation from UCLA, UCOP or UC Merced, may use
   Form 8233 to claim a tax treaty exemption based on their country of residence. Tax treaty eligibility is based upon
   information entered into UCLA’s nonresident alien tax compliance system called GLACIER. Please note that
   individuals must provide a U.S. taxpayer ID number (SSN or ITIN). For information about obtaining a SSN or ITIN,
